The Black Island is an island located in the Sea of Khazak.
Description[]
The Black Island is a diamond-shaped island,[1] with black sand beaches and dark towering cliffs. It is formed from an extinct volcano, and there is bog-like land in its floor.[2]
Here are there tufts of grass grow. Near a blue lake is a static settlement.[2]

Mortal Engines[]
Airhaven landed there for repairs after it was attacked by Shrike. The pirate suburb Tunbridge Wheels tried to eat it, but sank before it reaches the island. On the island, Shrike killed the surviving pirates, and tried to kill Tom and Hester. He was killed by Tom, and buried on the island.
Infernal Devices[]
Oenone Zero dug up Shrike's body, while the island was being attacked by the Traktionstadtsgesellschaft. Theo Ngoni also fought in this battle.
