The Clio House is the mansion of Thaddeus Valentine that was introduced in Mortal Engines.
It was destroyed alongside the rest of London when MEDUSA imploded on itself.[1]
Description[]
The Clio House stands upon Circle Park's cedars like a seashell, as it has white spires. Katherine has a room on the top floor. There is a statue of Clio close to the dining room.[2]
Katherine's room[]
Katherine's room has heavy, tattered, tortoiseshell-colored drapes. There is a pile of books in a corner, which Katherine read to figure out her father's past and who Hester Shaw was.[3]
History[]
Mortal Engines quartet[]
Mortal Engines[]
Valentine meets with Crome the day after Hester tries to assassinate him.
While Valentine is on his mission to survey Batmunkh Gompa, Katherine is the only resident of the house.
Film[]
Valentine dresses his wound from Hester after she attempted to assassinate him in the house. He and Katherine then have a conversation about her, thinking she was an Anti-Tractionist. Valentine then leaves the mansion to continue working on MEDUSA in St Paul's Cathedral.
