Eve Vespertine was a female human who introduced in Thunder City. She was a fighter in the Amusement Arcade.
She was killed by Tamzin Pook, who allowed a Revenant to impale her.[2] Later, she was resurrected as a Stalker by Mortmain.[1]
After Thorbury's recapture, she adventured with Tamzin Pook, Max Angmering, Oddington Doom, Hilly Torpenhow, and Small Cat across the Traction Era.[4]

Eve was mentioned as Pook's group prepared to enter the arena.
Throughout the novel, Pook has nightmares about her. It is eventually revealed that Pook herself killed Eve by purposefully not warning her of a Revenant's attack.
After Pook is recaptured, Mortmain pits her against a resurrected Vespertine. After murdering Mortmain, the Revenant Vespertine aides Tamzin, Max, Oddington, and Hilly on their quest to retake Thorbury.

The Stalker Vespertine is slated to appear in the novel.

Small Cat[]
Before she died, Eve wanted to own a cat. She eventually got this when she became a Stalker, in the form of Small Cat.[5]
