Fern Solent was a female human who was introduced in Fever Crumb. She was an actress from pre-Traction London and the daughter of Kit Solent.
History[]
Pre-Series[]
Fern grew up with her father and elder brother, Ruan, in a previously Scriven-owned mansion. Her father was an archaeologist; her mother died shortly after she was born. She attended a nearby private school alongside Ruan until the Movement invasion, during which Kit Solent was killed.
Fever Crumb trilogy[]
Aboard the Lycieum[]
Fern and Ruan then travelled aboard the theatre land-ship Persimmon's Electric Lycieum with Fever, where Fern discovered her acting ability.
Her fate after Fever left the theatre is unknown.
Short Stories[]
In the Bleak Midwinter[]
Shrike attempted to tell the story of Fern to Hester Shaw, but the girl reminisced on the day of the Midwinter.
