Greater China was the opposing force against the American Empire during the Sixty Minute War, up to and during 2116. During the War, Half of Greater China was mentioned to have been blown-up (the area hence becoming a desolate wasteland) and the survivors built the city Batmunkh Gompa behind Shield-Wall in the Himalayas, where they were safe from traction cities. The remnants of Greater China then fused with the survivors of the Himalayas (north of India) and became Shan Guo, the leading Anti-Tractionist nation-state in the continent of Asia.
