Kriegsmarshal Von Kobold was a male human who was introduced in A Darkling Plain. He was the mayor of Murnau.

Unlike the other members of the Traktionstadtsgesellschaft, Von Kobold did not join to shed Green Storm blood, but instead to defend his city and its people. His son, Wolf Kobold, does not share his pacifist views. After the Green Storm War ended, Von Kobold settled Murnau down on top of a hill and made it static, as he knew that the system of Municipal Darwinism wouldn't last.
