Oddington Doom was a male human who was introduced in Thunder City.
After Thorbury was recaptured, he adventured with Tamzin Pook, Max Angmering, the Revenant Vespertine, and Small Cat across the Traction Era.[2]
Description[]
Doom was "washed-up"[3] and old,[4] with a craggy, grizzled, ruined face seamed with old scars. One of his eyes, taken by a bullet (and ruining his depth perception),[5] was covered with a patch. His scruffy beard was the shade and texture of iron filings. He wore a fading old mercenaries' uniform that was pinkish-grey (formerly scarlet) and had a few strands of gold with grime on it. He is around the same age as Hilly Torpenhow.[4]
Personality[]
As a young man, Doom was full of himself; leading a group of fighters and battling for the sake of glory.[4]
History[]
Pre-Series[]
Oddington Doom was raised on a small traction city in Australia.[1] After escaping his homeland, he created a band of mercenary fighters. Over time, his comrades died and he was the only survivor.[4]
Thunder City duology[]
Thunder City[]
Oddington first appeared in the bar of "The Solider of Fortune" on Bad Luftgarden. After meeting and dismissing Tamzin, Hilly, and Max, he spent the rest of his time drinking his sorrows in alcohol until Coldharbour and Lint asked Doom and the barmaid about the aforementioned trio's whereabouts. Soon after the encounter, he left the bar and tracked the group.
Bridge of Storms[]
Doom is slated to appear in the book.
