Zhan Shan was the highest mountain in the world during the Traction Era. It was located in the Himalayas within Shan Guo. Despite its massive size, it was not mentioned in ancient records. It may have been formed as result of tectonic processes or the work of ancient superweapons.

A Darkling Plain[]
From Erdene Tezh, the Stalker Fang used ODIN to target Zhan Shan, a volcano, that will erupt for weeks and destroy provinces, as well as others in her plan to erupt them and destroy the entire human race. Though she was convinced by Tom Natsworthy to stop the plan, Nimrod Pennyroyal killed the Stalker, causing her to destroy the ODIN transmitter, and thus saving humanity.
